IDENTITY
These terms are offered by TOURTERELLES, a single-member simplified joint-stock company (SASU) trading under the name BUCKET LIST VILLA. Registered office: Les Galeries du Commerce, Saint-Jean, BP 1236, 97133 Saint-Barthélemy, France. Basse-Terre Trade and Companies Register (RCS): 807 714 845. SCOPE
These terms govern seasonal rentals of villas and other accommodations directly offered by BUCKET LIST VILLA, as well as services it provides itself. The special terms for the property, the booking summary, and the rental agreement prevail in the event of any inconsistency.
Real estate transactions are governed by specific mandates and documents. Services offered by partners (including transfers, vehicle rental, wellness services, private chefs, private flights, or deliveries) are subject to a direct contract between the client and the partner, who invoices and collects payment for its service directly. BUCKET LIST VILLA may receive a commission from the partner; in this capacity, it does not collect payment for that service on the partner’s behalf.
INFORMAION, PRICES, AND AVIALABILITY
Descriptions, photographs, amenities, prices, and availability shown on the website are indicative and may change. Before any contract is entered into, the client receives or may consult the price applicable to the stay, the currency, any mandatory charges, applicable taxes, any additional charges, and the requested security deposit.
FORMATION OF THE BOOKING
A booking request does not constitute a rental. Once the request is accepted, BUCKET LIST VILLA sends the client the rental agreement, booking summary, and request for the initial payment. The rental becomes final only after:
- the signed rental agreement, or equivalent electronic acceptance, has been returned;
- the required initial payment has been received;
- BUCKET LIST VILLA has sent written confirmation.
Until all these elements have been received, the property may remain available for rental.
PAYMENT
The applicable payment terms, including the amount of the initial payment, due dates, and consequences of late payment, are communicated to the client before booking and set out in the rental agreement or booking summary. They may vary according to the property, destination, period, and owner. For properties subject to French law, the applicable payment schedule complies with mandatory rules in force. Late payment may result in the booking being suspended or canceled after the client has been notified.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit, card imprint, or pre-authorization may be requested before check-in to cover damage, loss, reinstatement costs, exceptional consumption, or breaches attributable to the client or accompanying guests. Its amount, payment or pre-authorization terms, return arrangements, and any justified deductions are set out in the rental agreement or booking summary.
CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION
Applicable cancellation and modification terms are provided before booking and repeated in the rental agreement; they may vary according to the property, destination, period, and owner. Unless more favorable special terms apply:
- more than 90 days before arrival: the initial payment may be refunded in accordance with the agreement;
- between 60 and 90 days before arrival: an amount up to 30% of the total amount may be retained;
- less than 60 days before arrival: the total amount may remain due;
- in the event of no-show, late arrival, or early departure: no refund is due, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
STAY AND CLIENT OBLIGATIONS
Unless stated otherwise, check-in is from 3:00 p.m. and check-out is before 12:00 noon. The client must use the property with due care and comply with maximum occupancy, neighborhood rules, local rules, and the property’s rules. The client may not sublet or assign the property; must promptly report any damage, incident, or malfunction; and must allow access when required for maintenance, safety, or urgent intervention. Any party or event requires prior written approval.
MINIMUM STAY
Unless otherwise stated in the listing, booking summary, or rental agreement, the minimum stay is 3, 5, or 7 nights depending on the villa and the relevant period. Specific conditions may apply during holiday periods, events, or high-demand periods. The applicable minimum stay is communicated to the client before any booking confirmation.
LIABILITY
BUCKET LIST VILLA acts within the scope defined by the applicable contractual documents. It cannot be held liable for disruptions caused by an external event that is unforeseeable or beyond its control, including weather conditions, transport disruptions, administrative decisions, network outages, neighboring works, local restrictions, or force majeure. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
The client remains responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings and those of accompanying guests. Except in the event of fault attributable to BUCKET LIST VILLA, the owner, or a person for whom they are responsible, BUCKET LIST VILLA and the owner cannot be held liable for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings occurring during the stay. The client is encouraged to take out appropriate travel insurance and to report any incident without delay.
CLAIMS AND MEDIATION
Any difficulty relating to the stay should be reported to BUCKET LIST VILLA as soon as possible so that a solution can be sought. A written claim may be sent to contact@bucketlistvilla.com with any useful supporting documents. If no amicable resolution is reached, the consumer may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator to which TOURTERELLES is affiliated, FNAIM (914173).
